Job summary

Pinnacle Safety and Training in Murarrie is seeking a learning designer to develop accredited and non-accredited training for face-to-face, blended and online delivery. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts to turn technical safety content into engaging resources.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar RTO position, expertise with LMS and e-learning tools, and a solid grounding in adult learning principles and accessibility standards. On-site at Head Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a similar role in an RTO.
• Experience with LMS and e-learning authoring tools (G Suite, MS 365, Moodle, Articulate 360, Rise).
• Knowledge of 2025 Standards for RTOs, Training Packages and vocational education compliance.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks.
• Experience creating digital and multimedia content.
• Attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• TAE40122 or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Experience developing learning and assessment materials aligned with UDL and WCAG.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain accredited and non-accredited training and assessment products across delivery modes.
• Create training materials including assessment tools, instructions, presentations, learner guides, SCORM packages and mappings.
• Translate complex operational and regulatory information into engaging content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and currency.
• Deliver projects on schedule with quality and compliance.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure clarity and consistency with regulator requirements.
• Stay updated with instructional design trends and adult learning theories.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You’ll play an important role in developing high-quality, learner-focused training and assessment materials. In collaboration with other members of the Education Team and subject matter experts, you’ll design and develop engaging learning resources for face-to-face, blended and online delivery.

Our Education Team takes pride in designing exceptional learning experiences and the impact our training has on people’s lives. We’re now looking for a full-time team member to join us in person at our Head Office in Murarrie - someone who values professionalism, teamwork and doing the job properly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Design, develop and maintain accredited and non-accredited training and assessment products across varying delivery modes.

Develop training and assessment materials including assessment tools, assessor and student instructions, presentations, learner guides, SCORM packages and mapping documents.

Turn complex operational, technical and compliance information into clear and engaging learning content.

Engage and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to ensure course content is accurate, current, and aligned with industry standards.

Deliver projects to agreed project schedules while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Conduct constructive peer reviews to ensure course content is clear, consistent, and aligned with regulator requirements and organisational standards.

Keep up to date with current instructional design trends, practices and adult learning theories.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role in a registered training organisation.

Practical and current experience working with learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools (Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Moodle, Articulate 360, Rise preferred).

Sound knowledge of 2025 Standards for RTOs, Training Packages and vocational education compliance requirements.

Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks.

Experience creating innovative and exciting digital and multimedia content using various tools.

Strong attention to detail.

Clear verbal and written communication.

TAE40122 (or equivalent), or a relevant tertiary qualification in learning design, is highly regarded.

Experience in developing learning and assessment material that is aligned with UDL principles and WCAG accessibility requirements.
