Job summary

Veolia Australia and New Zealand is hiring an Injury Prevention & Health Specialist in Sydney to support injured employees returning to work and to provide health and hygiene compliance guidance to management. The role includes contributing to health initiatives, training, monitoring, investigation, and continuous improvement across a national team.

You will engage with internal teams, external clients, and labour hire to ensure injuries are managed and workers return to suitable duties.

Qualifications

• Extensive industry experience in a similar role and solid knowledge of WA workers' compensation legislation.
• Formal Return to Work Coordinator (RTW) qualification is desirable.
• Graduate qualifications in a health-related field (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, health management, nursing) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist injured employees to return to work and coordinate with internal operational teams and Veolia's self-insurance team to achieve outcomes.
• Manage the WA workers' compensation portfolio.
• Design and implement injury prevention and wellbeing strategies based on health risk factor reduction.
• Quality review of risk-based pre-employment and periodic medical assessments.
• Identify and report on key health and wellbeing risk factors.
