Job summary

Palliative Care SA is seeking an Administration Assistant – Infusion Centre at Noarlunga Hospital to support the Infusion Centre team. This part-time ongoing role focuses on administrative tasks, patient flow, and correspondence.

You will handle visitor requests, route calls, coordinate with Radiology and laboratories, prepare admission notes, maintain records, and contribute to service improvements. Applicants with ward admin experience and empathy for distressed patients are encouraged to

Qualifications

• Previous Ward Administrative Assistant experience.
• Experience working in a clinical environment.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience caring for distressed patients and carers.

Responsibilities

• Handling visitor requests from patients’ families and ensuring policy adherence.
• Answering telephone calls and routine patient enquiries with appropriate information.
• Liaising with Radiology, laboratories and other medical staff as requested by the NUM.
• Preparing patient notes on admission and sorting notes prior to discharge.
• Maintaining records and statistics and identifying systems that require improvement.
