Job summary

The Network is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a federal department's enterprise infrastructure in Canberra. The role is hands-on with VMware, Windows Server, Commvault, automation, and hybrid cloud technologies.

This 12-month contract includes an extension option and requires NV1 clearance. You will maintain, secure and improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and resilience across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on VMware and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Commvault backup and recovery.
• Strong Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy management.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and troubleshoot VMware environments.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory and policy functions.
• Support Commvault backup and recovery across the estate.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and IaC.
• Investigate issues, implement security improvements and optimize performance.
