Job summary

Trinity College, Beenleigh, under the Brisbane Catholic Education Office, is seeking a skilled School Officer Classroom Support for its Industrial Technologies program. Qualifications

• Trade or workshop experience in supporting woodwork, metalwork or similar practical learning environments.
• Experience in operating and directing students with industrial equipment.
• Certificate III in Education Support and knowledge of safety in workshop environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and maintain workshop resources, materials and equipment.
• Keep workshop spaces clean, organised and safe with visible SOPs and safe storage.
• Ensure PPE usage by students and assist with proper fitting and safety practices.
• Set up and disassemble practical lessons and ensure materials/tools are ready for use.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Technologies Teacher to promote safe workshop operations.
• Assist teachers during practical lessons and demonstrate safe use of tools.
• Assess student progress and provide targeted intervention to support learning outcomes.
• Develop varied teaching methods and assessments to accommodate diverse learners.
