Job summary

Browns Plains State High School is seeking a Teacher Aide to support technologies learning activities, including woodwork, metalwork, engineering and design. You will prepare materials, manage equipment, and assist with safety and clerical tasks to support student learning.

Role involves one-on-one and small-group student support, stock management of resources, and collaboration with the Technologies team to maintain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Provide individual and small-group support to students.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and general clerical tasks.
• Assist with stocktaking and maintaining appropriate levels of equipment and resources.
• Support safe use and basic care of technologies equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with the preparation, organisation and delivery of technologies learning activities.
• Prepare, organise, distribute and pack away equipment, materials and other resources for practical lessons.
• Assist with ensuring required materials are available and assist with purchases as required.
• Support appropriate workplace health and safety practices within practical learning environments.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with class rolls and supervision of students during learning activities.
