Job summary

Trinity Lutheran College on the Gold Coast is seeking a Learning Assistant – Technology to support both Middle and Senior Years in the Design and Technology spaces. You will help ensure workshops are safe, assist students with practical activities, and prepare materials and equipment for lessons.

The role involves working closely with teachers to manage resources, maintain tools, and support students’ skill development in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, trade workshop or maintenance environment.
• Background in Design Technology teaching or related qualifications.
• Ability to support students individually or in small groups.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually and in small groups during practical learning activities.
• Assist teachers with preparation and management of classroom resources.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and workshop spaces for safe operation.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and service of equipment.
• Purchase and manage materials and supplies; promote safe work practices.
