Job summary

Slattery Grays Auctions, Australia’s largest national family-owned auction company, is seeking a Business Development Manager for Southern NSW or ACT. You will identify leads, build trusted partnerships for disposal of surplus equipment across transport, construction and more.

Qualifications

• Proven sales success with all levels of clients.
• Knowledge of industrial categories including transport and construction is a plus.
• Auction experience essential or strongly related exposure.

Responsibilities

• Cover a large region surrounding southern NSW (Albury, Griffith, Wagga, Forbes) and the greater ACT with regular face-to-face site meetings.
• Conduct high-volume cold calls and nurture warm leads to identify opportunities.
• Assess potential partners, evaluate deals and build business cases for targets.
• Be the lead contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders with strong service.
• Build professional relationships within local and national teams.
• Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to meet budgets and KPIs.
• Utilise negotiation skills to close new business.
• Plan and execute local sales strategies, proposals, and presentations.
• Weekly travel is required to achieve goals.
