The University of Canberra in Bruce invites applications for the Associate Dean Indigenous, Faculty of Science & Health. This senior leadership role (Academic Level E or D) offers a salary range of AU$170,522 to AU$218,799 per year plus 17% super and a full-time continuing appointment.

You will lead Indigenous research strategy, supervise HDR candidates, foster interdisciplinary partnerships and advance Indigenous excellence across the faculty.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Established research profile with substantial publications.
• Demonstrated success in HDR supervision and research mentorship.
• Significant academic leadership across Indigenous learning, teaching, research, engagement or strategic initiatives.
• Understanding of contemporary Indigenous issues in higher education.
• Experience as Associate Dean Indigenous or similar leadership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Indigenous research strategy and capability development across the Faculty.
• Maintain a strong research profile with publications, scholarly outputs and academic recognition.
• Supervise HDR candidates, with a focus on Indigenous research students and emerging scholars.
• Foster interdisciplinary and community-led research partnerships that create meaningful outcomes for Indigenous peoples and communities.
• Develop and strengthen research collaborations across academia, industry, government and community sectors.
• Support the growth of competitive research funding opportunities and strategic research initiatives.
