Job summary

The University of Canberra seeks an Associate Dean Indigenous to lead Indigenous excellence and strategic research direction within the Faculty of Science & Health. You will report to the Dean and work with senior leaders to advance Indigenous priorities and student success.

This is a continued academic leadership role requiring a strong research profile, HDR supervision experience, and a commitment to embedding Indigenous learning, teaching, engagement, and scholarship across the Faculty.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to Indigenous research excellence.
• Track record of high-quality publications and scholarly outputs.
• Experience supervising HDR candidates and mentoring Indigenous researchers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Indigenous research strategy and capability development across the Faculty.
• Maintain a strong research profile with high-quality publications and recognition.
• Supervise HDR candidates, with a focus on Indigenous researchers and emerging scholars.
• Foster interdisciplinary and community-led research partnerships with Indigenous communities.
• Develop and strengthen research collaborations across academia, industry, government and community sectors.
• Support growth of competitive research funding and strategic initiatives.
