Job summary

RMIT University in Melbourne invites applications for an Indigenous Prospective Student Case Manager. You will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prospective students from enquiry to enrolment, delivering culturally safe, personalised guidance.

Working in Global Student Recruitment, you will collaborate with the First Nations Ngarara Willim Centre and other stakeholders to remove barriers and boost Indigenous participation in higher education.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, organisations and the barriers Indigenous peoples may experience when accessing higher education.
• Experience providing case management, advisory or support services, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to collect and analyse information, identify issues, recommend solutions and contribute to reporting activities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of the higher education sector and experience supporting Indigenous people to achieve educational outcomes.
• Experience in student recruitment, admissions or conversion activities is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised, culturally safe support from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
• Collaborate with the First Nations Ngarara Willim Centre and internal/external stakeholders to inform Indigenous recruitment activities.
• Conduct needs-based conversations, assess barriers and guide pathways to university enrollment.
• Contribute to reporting, insights and strategic goals for Indigenous participation and success.
