Job summary

University of Technology Sydney seeks an outstanding Indigenous leader to join the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology as Associate Dean (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement). The appointee will lead Indigenous strategy, advise senior leaders and drive alignment with university policy to maximise engagement and outcomes across the Faculty.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strategic and academic leadership in Indigenous education and research.
• Experience progressing Indigenous strategic objectives in complex environments.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of Indigenous higher education challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational Indigenous leadership within the Faculty.
• Advise the Dean and senior leadership on Indigenous priorities and policy alignment.
• Develop, implement and monitor Indigenous education, research and employment strategy.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maximise Indigenous engagement and success.
