Job summary

UNSW invites applications from an Indigenous academic leader to help shape the future of the Faculty of Engineering. The role is identified for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, with appointment at Lecturer to Professor level, including potential part-time Associate Dean leadership (0.4 FTE).

We welcome candidates with Indigenous leadership, community ties, student engagement capability, curriculum development experience, or broader professional expertise.

Qualifications

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and community connection.
  • Leadership experience in higher education or related sectors.
  • Commitment to Indigenous student success and engagement.
  • Experience developing programs, partnerships, or curricula.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into outcomes.
  • Experience in teaching, research, or curriculum leadership is valued.
  • PhD or Masters by Research or equivalent welcomed.
