Job summary

University of New South Wales invites applications for an identified Indigenous academic leader to help shape the future of the Faculty of Engineering. The role spans Lecturer to Professor levels, with an optional Associate Dean leadership track and flexible working arrangements.

The appointee will advance Indigenous initiatives, embed Indigenous knowledges, and strengthen student success while building strong community partnerships and contributing to strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, cultural knowledge, lived experience, and community connection.
• Leadership experience in higher education, education, community, government, industry, not-for-profit, or related sectors.
• A PhD, Masters by Research, or equivalent professional, leadership, community, and/or lived experience is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Indigenous leadership and strategic direction for faculty initiatives.
• Lead programs and curricula that strengthen Indigenous student success.
• Build community partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to the Faculty's strategic priorities.
