Job summary

University of Queensland is seeking an Indigenous Engagement role within the Faculty of Science to support culturally respectful partnerships with students, staff, communities and Indigenous organisations. The position is based at St Lucia and focuses on coordinating projects and engagement across planning, delivery and evaluation.

The role emphasizes documentation, meetings, and collaboration, with strong emphasis on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and protocols.

Qualifications

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree within the last three years.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Indigenous-focused projects across planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
• Organise stakeholder engagement, meetings and events with Indigenous stakeholders.
• Support coordination of Memoranda of Understanding and Partnership Agreements.
• Provide high-quality project and administrative support including documentation and data management.
