Job summary

The University of Queensland invites applications for a full-time role in the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research team, School of Public Health, based at the Herston Campus. The position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates as a genuine occupational requirement.

You will provide community engagement and communications support across research projects, build respectful stakeholder relationships and help translate research evidence into meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
• Ability to translate complex information into accessible content.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
• Excellent written communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations and stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of stakeholder and consumer events.
• Support translation of research evidence into practical impact.
• Develop clear content for websites, brochures, newsletters and social media.
