Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Director / Associate Dean, Indigenous Engagement to advance the strategic direction for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement. This role offers an opportunity to shape teaching, research, and student support by embedding Indigenous perspectives across the Faculty.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Indigenous leadership and a proven capability in influencing change within diverse organizations. You will play a key role in fostering partnerships and driving initiatives that support Indigenous success and culturally grounded leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in influencing change within a diverse organization.
• Demonstrated ability to provide academic leadership in partnered research and professional activities.
• Strong interpersonal ability and communication skills including diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Faculty’s strategic direction for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement.
• Lead the Faculty’s contribution to UQ’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
• Foster meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities, industry and government.
