Job summary

University of Queensland is seeking a dedicated Indigenous Engagement professional to join our team at St Lucia in a fixed-term, full-time capacity. You will contribute to Indigenous-focused projects across the Faculty of Science, engaging with students, staff and communities to foster respectful relationships and meaningful partnerships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with ability to engage respectfully with Indigenous communities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment.
• Project management experience and ability to use project management tools or software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Indigenous-focused projects across planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation with accurate documentation.
• Organise stakeholder engagement, community consultation, meetings and events with respectful participation by Indigenous stakeholders.
• Support MOUs and Partnership Agreements with Indigenous organisations, ensuring culturally appropriate collaboration.
• Provide high-quality project and administrative support, including diary management, financial administration and data management.
