Job summary

The Senior Engagement Officer at The University of Queensland plays a pivotal role in advancing ATSIS Unit’s commitment to increasing Indigenous student recruitment, retention and success. You will inspire the next generation by promoting UQ as a university of choice, delivering engaging outreach programs and collaborating with schools, communities and prospective students.

Based at the Vibrant St Lucia Campus, you will build trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Qualifications

Strong cultural capability and the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, communities and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and engage with students, schools, parents and community groups.
Experience delivering programs, events or engagement activities that support student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engagement activities, events and communications that promote pathways to higher education.
Coordinate communications, logistics and delivery of engagement programs and outreach initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to prospective students and participants in the InspireU Scholars program.
Build and strengthen partnerships with schools, community organisations and industry stakeholders across Queensland.
Drive continuous improvement by evaluating engagement programs, maintaining reporting systems and supporting high-quality service delivery.
