Job summary

Western Sydney University Hawkesbury campus invites a senior leader to drive Indigenous future student engagement and recruitment, translating university strategy into school engagement, pathways, community engagement and prospective student recruitment.

Lead the prospective student journey from early engagement through enrolment, overseeing programs such as Pathways to Dreaming and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Entry Program, campus experiences, mentoring and information sessions.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience in Indigenous engagement or recruitment.
• Demonstrated success leading Indigenous engagement or recruitment strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education, communities and pathways into higher education.
• Able to lead complex teams, translate strategy into operational plans and advise senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an integrated Indigenous engagement and recruitment plan across schools and communities.
• Strengthen pathways from engagement to admission and enrolment through programs and scholarships.
• Build trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families, Elders, schools and community organisations.
• Establish priorities, performance measures and reporting across the Indigenous pipeline.
• Use data and insights to improve program performance and student experiences.
