Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Employment Consultant to support people with disabilities, injuries or health conditions toward sustainable employment across the outer eastern suburbs. You’ll build relationships, help with resumes and interview skills, and connect participants to local employers.

You’ll travel between sites and work in a role that combines client support with systemic coordination, training, and ongoing development within the Inclusive Employment Australia program.

Qualifications

• Ability to build supportive relationships with participants
• Experience in customer-facing roles or employment services is desirable
• Willingness to travel between sites across the region

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, motivating relationships with participants
• Help participants prepare resumes, job applications and interview skills
• Connect with local employers, identify opportunities and advocate for participants
• Provide ongoing support once someone starts work
• Make referrals to training providers and community services
• Keep accurate records to ensure quality support
