The Salvation Army is seeking an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program in the Northern Sydney region, covering Pymble, Chatswood, Hornsby and surrounding areas. Qualifications

• Experience in employment services or related support roles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel between sites within a region and drive as needed

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, motivating relationships with program participants
• Help participants prepare resumes, job applications and interview skills
• Connect with local employers, identify opportunities and advocate for participants
• Provide ongoing support once someone starts work
• Make referrals to training providers, allied health and community services
• Keep accurate records to ensure quality support
