Job summary

The Salvation Army, via Employment Plus in Bayside and Eastern Melbourne, seeks a proactive Community Engagement Coordinator to build partnerships with disability providers, schools and employers and create pathways to meaningful employment for participants. This role calls for regional travel and strong networking skills.

You will develop referral pathways, promote Inclusive Employment Australia, and represent Employment Plus at events while collaborating with consultants and local leaders to

Qualifications

• Experience in Employment Services, Disability Services or Community Services
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Ability to identify opportunities and develop community networks
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team success
• Sound Microsoft Office skills
• A current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout the region

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain community and industry partnerships
• Develop referral pathways that support participant engagement and program growth
• Promote Inclusive Employment Australia across the region
• Represent Employment Plus at community events, expos and networking opportunities
• Support employers to adopt inclusive employment practices
• Work collaboratively with Employment Consultants and local leaders
• Maintain stakeholder engagement records and reporting
