The Salvation Army in New South Wales is seeking an Employment Consultant for the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program in the Northern Sydney region. You will develop supportive, outcome-focused relationships with participants, help them prepare resumes and interview skills, and connect with local employers to advocate for opportunities that lead to sustainable employment.

This permanent full-time role offers comprehensive training, dedicated mentoring, and generous NFP salary packaging.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services or related roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to support participants with resumes, applications and interview preparation.

Responsibilities

• Building supportive, motivating relationships with IEA participants
• Helping people prepare resumes, job applications and interview skills
• Connecting with local employers, identifying suitable opportunities and advocating for your participants
• Providing ongoing support once someone starts work
• Making referrals to training providers, allied health and community services
• Keeping accurate records to ensure quality support
