Job summary

Global Skills seeks an Employment Consultant to deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program from Chatswood. You will provide personalised, person-centred support to participants, guiding them through job plans, resume development, interview prep and workshops while brokering links with employers.

You will work to achieve performance benchmarks, ensure compliance with National Standards for Disability Services, and maintain strong admin/IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability or employment services or ability to relate to diverse backgrounds.
• Prefer qualifications in Employment, Community or Disability services.
• Strong communication and desire to help others.
• Bi-lingual Mandarin/Cantonese considered favorably.
• Understand local labour market and training opportunities.
• Able to meet deadlines and KPIs.
• Strong administration and IT literacy.
• Willing to undergo background checks and travel as required.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Hold a full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customised, person-centred support to a diverse caseload, including job plans, resume and career guidance, interview preparation and workshops.
• Build positive relationships with employers for brokering or sustaining employment.
• Ensure performance benchmarks are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with National Standards for Disability Services and ISO accreditation.
• Adhere to WHS policies and information security requirements.
