Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia, through Employment Plus, is seeking an experienced Employment Consultant to support participants on the Inclusive Employment Australia program. You will help build resumes, prepare job applications and interview skills while actively connecting with local employers to create meaningful opportunities.

This permanent full-time role offers generous NFP salary packaging, a 9-day fortnight or monthly RDO, and comprehensive training across the Salvation Army network.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Employment Consultant or customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Ability to help participants create resumes and prepare job applications.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• Driver's licence and own car are required to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive relationships with participants in the IEA program.
• Help participants prepare resumes, job applications and interview skills.
• Connect with local employers, identify opportunities and advocate for participants.
• Provide ongoing support once someone starts work and coordinate referrals to training and services.
• Keep accurate records to ensure high-quality support.
