Job summary

St Joseph's Primary School, part of Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn, is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant to join our inclusive learning team.

You will partner with teachers to support student participation, especially those with diverse learning needs, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help modify tasks to boost confidence, independence and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• WWVP clearance required for Working with Vulnerable People
• Certificate III in School-based Education Support or undertake an ITE program or experience as Classroom Learning Support Assistant
• Accreditation in accordance with Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy

Responsibilities

• Support student participation with teachers, especially those with diverse learning needs
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and modify tasks as needed
• Encourage strategies that boost confidence, independence and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement personalised adjustments and engage students in the school community
