St Joseph's Primary School, part of Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn, is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant to join our inclusive learning team.
You will partner with teachers to support student participation, especially those with diverse learning needs, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help modify tasks to boost confidence, independence and social-emotional development.
Salary Range: $75,935full-time equivalent plus superannuation.
Employment Status: Part-time | 30 to 55 hours per fortnight
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

The Classroom Support Assistant plays a key role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment by partnering with teachers to support student participation, especially those with diverse learning needs. This position involves providing targeted support to individuals and small groups, modifying learning tasks, and encouraging the use of strategies that enhance students’ confidence, independence, and social-emotional development. The Classroom Support Assistant works closely with teachers and specialist teams to implement personalised adjustments that help students reach their academic potential and actively engage in the wider school community.
This position involves working with children. Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment.
