Job summary

Sts Peter and Paul Primary School in Canberra’s inner south seeks a Classroom Support Assistant to work with teachers and diverse learners, helping create an inclusive learning environment. This temporary role supports students’ academic progress, social development and engagement in school life.

This position is a parternal-leave temporary appointment (55 hours per fortnight) with potential for professional development and broader opportunities within the Archdiocese across ACT and NSW.

Qualifications

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance is required.
• Certificate III in School-based Education Support or pursuing an ITE program is acceptable.
• Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist students with diverse learning needs to participate in classroom activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
