Job summary

St Patrick’s College in Tasmania seeks a compassionate Teacher Assistant to join the Inclusive Learning team. This permanent part-time role (3–5 days) supports a student with extensive needs, including 1:1 care and health management, commencing Term 4, 2026.

You will work collaboratively with TA peers and health staff to ensure safety and well-being while assisting learning outcomes and daily routines. Registrations for child safety are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with diverse and complex needs.
• Ability to provide dignified personal care and daily health tasks.
• Willingness to work as part of a dedicated teaching assistant team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respectful 1:1 support, personal care including toileting, and meal assistance.
• Undertake daily health routines and diabetes management as trained.
• Support teachers to achieve student-focused learning outcomes.
