Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking an Inclusion, Equity and Child Safety Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team. You will drive disability inclusion, equity, child safety, volunteering and reconciliation initiatives, ensuring policies and programs meet legal and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of strategies, building partnerships and leading change across the organisation and community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in community development, social planning, policy planning and development, program design, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
• Strong leadership experience, including leading strategic projects, influencing stakeholders, and driving organisational priorities and change.
• Experience working within complex organisational environments, preferably within local government or the public sector.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a high-performing Inclusion Equity and Child Safety Team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide expert leadership on disability inclusion, child safety, LGBTIQA+ inclusion, reconciliation, gender equity and volunteering.
• Contribute to development of strategic commitments and action plans relating to inclusion and equity.
• Administer day-to-day compliance and reporting activities.
• Build partnerships and stakeholder networks to strengthen community participation and informed planning.
