Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council in Greensborough seeks a Child Safety and Inclusion Officer to advance our child safety, reconciliation, inclusion and equity programs. You will contribute to projects, policy development, reporting and governance while supporting staff and leaders to deliver safe, inclusive outcomes for the community.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Child Wellbeing and Safety Act and related legislation.
Understanding of Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme.
Experience supporting committees and providing quality agendas/minutes/reports.

Responsibilities

Develop, review and implement child safety policies, procedures and reporting frameworks.
Support reporting and risk monitoring for governance forums and steering committees.
Coordinate administration of working groups, meetings and action tracking.
Contribute to implementation of child safety, reconciliation, inclusion and equity plans.
Advise staff on Child Safe Standards and related organisational requirements.
