Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Sydney is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team for a casual, part-time role providing in-home and community support. You will help clients stay independent and maintain their dignity in a challenging environment.

You will deliver personal care, assist with daily living, and help clients access community resources. Documentation, team meetings, and care planning are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a support worker or similar role is preferred.
• A relevant qualification in health and social care is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Basic understanding of safeguarding and health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes and community settings.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Document and report on client progress and any changes in their needs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
