Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist clients in Wangaratta. This part-time, casual role focuses on daily living support, personal care, and social participation, helping individuals achieve independence and wellbeing.

You'll work closely with clients, families, and care teams to document progress, adapt supports, and ensure safety in line with health guidelines and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a support or care role, preferably within the charity sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to clients in their daily activities and routines.
• Assist clients with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Encourage and facilitate social interactions and community participation.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Document and report on client progress and any changes in their needs.
• Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
