Job summary

Longwarry Primary School, a rural Victorian school, seeks a classroom teacher to deliver high‑quality literacy and numeracy and contribute to school improvement efforts.

The role operates under two salary ranges (Range 1 and Range 2) with responsibilities across planning, teaching and program delivery to diverse learners. Applicants must meet Department requirements and be registered to teach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy alike.
• Experience planning/high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating student growth.
• Experience monitoring/assessing learning and giving feedback to students/parents.
• Strong interpersonal/ communication skills; build collaborative relationships with families/ staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation.
• Undertake school duties as directed by Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
