Job summary

Ransford College is seeking an ICT Support and Test Engineer for a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne. The position involves ensuring reliable ICT operations, resolving technical incidents, and testing ICT changes prior to deployment.

You will document outcomes, manage assets, and collaborate with vendors to improve security, performance and support processes within the college’s ICT environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICT systems, hardware, operating systems, networks and software applications.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex faults in systems, networks, hardware and software.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies for systems and applications.
• Ability to prepare and execute test plans and testing procedures.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, cybersecurity and backups.
• Ability to document testing outcomes and system defects clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network, system and application issues affecting users and business operations.
• Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, networks and business applications.
• Test new and modified ICT systems before implementation and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain system configurations, documentation, asset records and backup procedures.
• Liaise with vendors and external ICT providers to resolve problems.
