Job summary

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced ICT Support and Test Engineer NEC to join our client’s business Hyrx Pty Ltd in Docklands. You will provide technical support for ICT systems, applications, software, hardware and related infrastructure, and you will plan, develop and execute system testing to verify functionality and performance.

The role requires preparing test plans and documentation, conducting functional, integration & regression testing, identifying defects and coordinating

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an ICT Support and Test Engineer or in a closely related ICT technical role.
• Relevant IT/CS/engineering qualifications or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ICT systems, applications, software, hardware and infrastructure.
• Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving ICT system issues.
• Experience in system, application or software testing and defect documentation.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, planning, execution and QA processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for ICT systems, applications, software, hardware and related infrastructure.
• Diagnose, investigate and resolve technical issues, system faults, errors and performance problems.
• Plan, develop and execute system and application testing to verify functionality, performance, reliability and system integrity.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, testing procedures and technical documentation.

• Identify, document and report system defects, errors and inconsistencies and coordinate with relevant personnel to resolve identified issues.
• Monitor system performance and conduct technical analysis to identify potential issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.

• Troubleshoot issues relating to operating systems, software applications, databases, networks, hardware and other ICT infrastructure.

• Review system functionality, processes and technical requirements and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability, performance and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to users in relation to ICT systems, applications, software and operational procedures.
• Liaise with management, users, suppliers and ICT personnel to understand technical requirements, investigate issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, testing records and technical reports.
• Maintain accurate records of system incidents, testing activities, identified defects, resolutions, system changes and maintenance activities.
• Assist with implementing ICT improvements, system changes and technical solutions to support business operations.
• Ensure ICT support, testing and technical activities comply with relevant organisational policies, procedures, standards and security requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an ICT Support and Test Engineer or in a closely related ICT technical role.
• Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ICT systems, applications, software, hardware and technical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving ICT system issues.
• Experience in system, application or software testing, including identifying and documenting defects.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, test planning, test execution and quality assurance processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation, testing records and reports.
• Good understanding of system performance, functionality, reliability and technical quality requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical assistance to users and liaise with management and ICT personnel.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Have a stable work history with good communication and teamwork skills.

Remuneration: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 + superannuation Location: Suite 1203, 401 Docklands Drive, Docklands VIC 3008 This position will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic and technology-focused environment, contributing to the reliable operation, testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s ICT systems and services.
