Job summary

Hamilton Harbour Residential is recruiting an ICT Support Technician nec to join our team in Brisbane. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining and improving computer systems, software, and network‑connected equipment used across property management and onsite operations.

You will perform software deployment, hardware support and network troubleshooting, while maintaining clear records and supporting end users. This is a full‑time on‑site role in Hamilton, QLD.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in IT or related field.
• 1 year proven ICT support experience, preferably in property sector.
• Experience in desktop and infrastructure support, software deployment, hardware config.
• Ability to diagnose hardware, OS, software and network issues promptly.
• Experience installing, configuring, testing and maintaining IT systems and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support ICT systems and applications for property management and on-site operations.
• Assist with system upgrades, software releases, equipment replacement and data migration.
• Maintain technical records of ICT assets, licenses, configurations, faults and support actions.
• Liaise with external ICT providers, vendors and service providers for faults and upgrades.
• Implement routine updates, security patches, backups and basic ICT security controls.
• Assess equipment needs and assist management with ICT infrastructure planning.
• Investigate recurring issues and suggest improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and escalate complex issues when required.

The business relies on computer systems, network connectivity, software applications and digital communication tools to support property management, resident and tenant services, administration and efficient day‑to‑day operations.

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced ICT Support Technicians nec to join our team full‑time. The role is responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining and improving the computer systems, software applications, network‑connected equipment and digital infrastructure used across Hamilton Harbour Residential’s property management and onsite operations.

As an ICT Support Technicians nec at Hamilton Harbour Residences, you will undertake technical configuration, software deployment, systems maintenance, hardware and peripheral support, network troubleshooting, system testing and documentation to help ensure the organisation’s ICT environment operates reliably and efficiently. The position also supports ICT systems used for property management, resident and tenant communication, administration and other onsite operational activities.

The Tasks for the position include:

• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining computer systems, workstations, peripheral equipment and other ICT devices used across the business.
• Configuring and maintaining operating systems, software applications and system settings to support business and operational requirements.
• Packaging, installing, deploying and updating software applications across company devices and ensuring applications are configured correctly for operational use.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical faults involving computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripheral devices and network connectivity.
• Assisting with the installation, configuration and maintenance of local network equipment, wired and wireless connectivity and internet‑connected systems.
• Monitoring the operation and performance of ICT systems and identifying technical faults, equipment failures or configuration issues requiring corrective action.
• Testing hardware, software and system changes following installation, configuration, upgrades or repairs to ensure systems operate as required.
• Repairing, replacing and configuring computer peripherals and ICT equipment, including monitors, printers, network devices and associated hardware.
• Maintaining user accounts, system access and application permissions in accordance with authorised business requirements and organisational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The Tasks for the position include:

• Maintaining and supporting ICT systems and applications used for property management, resident and tenant communication, administration and onsite operational activities.
• Assisting with system upgrades, software releases, equipment replacement and migration of data or applications between devices where required.
• Maintaining technical records relating to ICT assets, software licences, system configurations, maintenance activities, faults, troubleshooting actions and equipment replacements.
• Liaising with external ICT providers, software vendors, internet service providers and telecommunications providers in relation to technical faults, system upgrades, repairs and specialist support.
• Implementing routine system updates, security patches, backup procedures, endpoint protection and basic ICT security controls in accordance with company procedures.
• Determining hardware and software requirements and assisting management to assess equipment, application and ICT infrastructure needs.
• Investigating recurring system or equipment issues and recommending practical technical improvements to increase reliability, usability and operational efficiency.
• Providing technical assistance to staff in the effective use of supported systems and equipment, and escalating complex or specialist issues to external providers where required.

• Minimum qualification of an Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Information Technology, ICT or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a ICT Support Technicians nec, preferably within the property field or similar setting.
• Demonstrated experience in computer systems support, desktop and infrastructure support, software deployment, hardware configuration or a similar technical ICT environment.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, software, peripheral and network connectivity problems in a timely and methodical manner.
• Practical experience installing, configuring, testing and maintaining computer systems, software applications, printers, peripherals and network‑connected equipment.
• Sound understanding of software deployment, system configuration, user access, routine security updates, backups and basic ICT infrastructure maintenance.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical records and documentation relating to ICT assets, software, system configurations, maintenance, faults and support activities.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with management, staff, external ICT providers, software vendors and telecommunications providers.
