AusNeb Group Pty Ltd trading as AusNeb IT Solutions is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced ICT Support and Test Engineer to maintain, support, test and improve ICT systems and applications across multiple business locations. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an opportunity to work with a growing organisation and contribute to the ongoing improvement of its technology infrastructure and business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Providing technical support, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, network and application-related issues across multiple business locations
• Monitoring, maintaining and improving ICT systems, business applications and network infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient daily operations
• Developing and implementing software testing procedures, test cases and quality assurance processes to identify system defects, technical issues and performance limitations
• Conducting functional, integration and system testing of business software, databases and applications to verify performance, reliability and compliance with operational requirements
• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving software defects, application errors, system failures and technical performance issues, including liaising with external ICT service providers where required
• Supporting the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of operating systems, software applications, network devices and other ICT infrastructure
• Maintaining and supporting business databases, SQL queries, Microsoft Excel reporting systems, Power BI dashboards and application interfaces to ensure accurate data processing and reporting
• Implementing and monitoring appropriate ICT security measures, data backup procedures, system access controls and disaster recovery processes
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including system specifications, testing reports, troubleshooting procedures, user guides and ICT support records
• Collaborating with management, operational staff and external ICT providers to identify technology requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related discipline
• At least one year of relevant professional experience in ICT technical support, software testing, systems administration or a closely related ICT role
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, computer networks, hardware, software applications and ICT troubleshooting
• Practical experience in software testing, quality assurance, defect identification and technical problem resolution
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, Microsoft Excel and Power BI
• Ability to interpret business data, maintain reporting systems and troubleshoot application interfaces
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and provide technical support across multiple business locations
• Competitive annual salary of AUD $80,000 – $90,000 plus superannuation
