Job summary

Milgate Primary School in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs seeks an experienced classroom teacher to deliver high-quality literacy and numeracy instruction within the Australian Curriculum. You will plan, assess and adapt teaching to meet diverse learner needs, collaborating with families, colleagues and the broader school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in planning high impact teaching strategies.
• Experience using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings and school activities.
• Undertake duties as required by the Principal within salary range and terms of employment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students and less experienced staff.
