Job summary

Slattery Grays Auction Group is hiring a hands-on Talent Acquisition professional to own end-to-end recruitment. You will headhunt for senior sales and commercial roles, fill high-volume yard, warehouse and operational positions, and partner with leaders to map talent pipelines across Australia.

You’ll write compelling ads, screen and interview, drive onboarding, and use AI tools judiciously to improve efficiency—while keeping genuine human judgment at the center.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in in-house talent acquisition or agency recruitment.
• Proven ability to directly source and headhunt for sales/commercial roles.
• Experience recruiting high volumes across operations, frontline, and corporate hires.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to guide hiring managers.
• Comfort using AI tools to boost effectiveness with sound judgment.
• Experience with ATS/HRIS systems (Employment Hero bonus).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment across the business, across yard, warehouse, sales, and corporate roles.
• Direct sourcing and headhunting for key/soft-to-fill roles with proactive talent mapping.
• Partner with hiring managers to define needs and plan for each role.
• Write compelling job ads and build a consistent employer brand across channels.
• Screen, interview and shortlist candidates with a focus on capability and values.
• Run reference checks, make offers and guide onboarding.
• Build pipelines for regular roles to avoid starting from scratch.
• Track recruitment metrics and use data to improve hiring experience.
• Leverage AI tools to source, draft and admin tasks while exercising judgement.
