Job summary

Nuix in Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer to own end-to-end user stories, write well-tested code and actively participate in backlog grooming, CI/CD and customer-facing discussions. You will contribute to secure coding practices and expand your understanding of our AI-enabled document-intelligence platform.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence in the Sydney office at least three days per week, with the option to work remotely for the remaining two days, and a collaborative mindset to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• عادة 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or React/TypeScript.
• Solid testing practices, version control and CI/CD fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of secure coding concepts.
• Interest in AI/ML, NLP or document-intelligence is a plus.
• Clear communicators who collaborate well.

Responsibilities

• Deliver user stories end-to-end with high quality and minimal rework.
• Ensure code styling and design patterns; include meaningful unit tests with appropriate test coverage.
• Apply basic security concepts and secure coding practices.
• Investigate and fix build/test issues in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Actively participate in backlog grooming and planning with reasonable estimates.
• Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the wiki; assist onboarding of new members.
• Grow understanding of the broader system, including model-backed and AI components.
