Job summary

BP plc is seeking a Retail People Relations Advisor for a twelve-month fixed-term contract based in Docklands, Melbourne. The role covers Australia and New Zealand, providing expert PR support across the bp retail network, including absence management, disciplinary matters and investigations.

The position requires strong stakeholder management, knowledge of Fair Work Act/ERA, and experience with HR casework.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications desirable.
• Experience delivering frontline P&C support in a large organisation (desirable).
• Knowledge of Fair Work Act (AU) and Employment Relations Act (NZ) is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across teams.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and HR case management.
• Ability to manage multiple disciplinary matters with sound judgment.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
• Team oriented with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on a range of PR cases including grievances and disciplinaries.
• Lead investigations that are balanced, thorough and evidence-based.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and leadership capability.
• Draft high-quality PR documentation such as letters and investigation reports.
• Support stores, business and market managers through changes.
• Stay updated on internal policies and external legislation to ensure quality advice.
