Transport for NSW is seeking a Public Transport Operations Communications Senior Officer in Sydney. You will support proactive and real-time communications for public transport services, disruptions, and emergency management, while engaging with stakeholders and operators.

Working with cross‑team colleagues, you will develop clear content for updates across traditional and digital channels, coordinate messaging, and help maintain customer-focused communications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours on occasion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across traditional and digital channels.

Responsabilités

• Deliver proactive and real-time communications support for public transport operations, including operational readiness projects, disruptions, crisis and emergency management activities.
• Develop clear, accessible and customer-focused content for service updates, communications plans, publications and digital channels.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with public transport operators, project teams, customers, communities and other stakeholders to support effective communications and engagement.
• Coordinate the review, approval and delivery of communications materials, ensuring information is accurate, timely and suited to the audience.
• Support media activities by monitoring emerging issues, preparing responses and identifying potential opportunities.
• Consider customer and stakeholder feedback and contribute to improvements in communications and the customer experience.
