Job summary

GCBlue in Sydney offers a hybrid six-month contract for an IT Support Engineer to provide friendly, reliable technical support to business clients, focusing on Microsoft 365 and Windows devices.

You’ll work with a small team, assist with onboarding, deployments, migrations, and security improvements, and gain hands-on project experience with mentoring from senior consultants. Remote work is possible after training, with occasional client visits.

• Good working knowledge of Windows computers and Microsoft 365 desktop apps.
• Methodical troubleshooting with initiative to investigate and follow through.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritise multiple requests.

• Willingness to learn and contribute in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by telephone, Teams, email and remote-support tools (e.g., TeamViewer).
• Troubleshoot issues with Windows devices, Microsoft 365 apps, printers and mobile devices.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune and Defender.
• Set up user accounts, manage licensing, password resets and MFA.
• Configure and deploy computers, apps and mobile devices.
• Support client onboarding, technology rollouts, and migrations.
• Manage support requests per priorities and SLAs, escalate complex issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and asset registers.
• Occasionally attend client offices for onsite support and project work.
