Job summary

CSIRO is seeking an Injury Management Advisor to provide end-to-end case management and rehabilitation support for staff experiencing work-related or non-work-related injuries. You will collaborate with employees, leaders and HR to develop and manage rehabilitation and RTW strategies that drive positive outcomes.

The IMA will hold Comcare rehabilitation delegations and contribute to compliant, impactful programs while supporting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Relevant allied health degree or equivalent experience in health support services.
• Experience in workplace rehabilitation and RTW management in large/complex organisations.
• Ability to collaborate with HSE staff and stakeholders to foster safety culture.
• Proven ability to communicate strategies clearly (written and verbal).
• Experience in sharing knowledge across teams and coaching colleagues.
• Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory standards for RTW and rehab.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records.
• Accreditation in Comcare Rehabilitation Case Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage injury and illness cases with end-to-end rehabilitation and case management for CSIRO staff.
• Develop, monitor and review RTW programs in partnership with employees and stakeholders.
• Ensure rehabilitation requirements comply with SRC Act and CSIRO policies.
• Provide specialist injury management advice to employees, leaders and HR.
• Identify opportunities for early intervention and implement safe at-work strategies.
• Maintain accurate injury management records and support reporting and audits.
