Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Security Architect in Melbourne to join a growing cyber security team. You will design and deliver secure technology solutions across enterprise and cloud environments, providing architecture guidance across multiple client engagements.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Microsoft security technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), along with contributing to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and pre-sales activities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in cyber security engineering/architecture.
• At least 2 years in a security design authority capacity.
• Minimum 3 years in consulting across multiple client environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience securing cloud environments across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Solid understanding of security architecture frameworks and principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA or TOGAF are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design secure technology solutions across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Provide security architecture and technical guidance across multiple engagements.
• Work with Microsoft security technologies and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Contribute to security solution design, documentation and architecture reviews.
• Support consulting and pre-sales activities, including solution development and technical discussions.
• Apply security frameworks including Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST and Zero Trust principles.
