Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Security Architect in Melbourne to join a growing cyber security team. You will design and deliver secure technology solutions across enterprise and cloud environments, providing architecture guidance across multiple client engagements.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Microsoft security technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), along with contributing to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and pre-sales activities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in cyber security engineering/architecture.
• At least 2 years in a security design authority capacity.
• Minimum 3 years in consulting across multiple client environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience securing cloud environments across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Solid understanding of security architecture frameworks and principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA or TOGAF are highly regarded.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Security Architect to join a growing cyber security team, working across a variety of technology environments and contributing to security architecture, solution design and technical advisory activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced security professionals, delivering practical security solutions across Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms and complex enterprise environments.

The role is focused on designing and delivering security solutions across multiple engagements, providing technical architecture expertise and supporting broader consulting and pre-sales activities.

You’ll work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure security is considered throughout solution design and delivery, while providing practical guidance on security architecture and technology decisions.

Key responsibilities include:
