Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Security Architect in Melbourne to join a hybrid, permanent team. You will design and deliver secure technology solutions across enterprise and cloud environments, providing architecture guidance and technical advisory to engagements.

You will work with Microsoft security technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), contribute to solution design and documentation, and support pre-sales activities while applying security frameworks such as Essential Eight, ISO

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of cyber security engineering and architecture experience.
• At least 2 years in a security design authority capacity.
• 3+ years consulting across multiple client environments.
• Strong hands-on with Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience securing Azure, AWS or GCP environments.
• Solid understanding of security architecture frameworks and principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Certs like CISSP, SABSA or TOGAF preferred.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Security Architect to join a growing cyber security team, working across a variety of technology environments and contributing to security architecture, solution design and technical advisory activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced security professionals, delivering practical security solutions across Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms and complex enterprise environments.

The role is focused on designing and delivering security solutions across multiple engagements, providing technical architecture expertise and supporting broader consulting and pre-sales activities.

You'll work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure security is considered throughout solution design and delivery, while providing practical guidance on security architecture and technology decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Approximately 5-8 years of experience across cyber security engineering and architecture.
• At least two years of experience in a security design authority capacity.
• A minimum of three years of consulting experience, ideally across multiple client environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience securing cloud environments across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• A solid understanding of security architecture frameworks and contemporary security principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA or TOGAF will be highly regarded.
