Job summary

Insight is seeking a senior Microsoft security architect who thrives on solving complex problems and shaping outcomes for clients. You will lead discovery engagements, design target-state security architectures, and guide critical decisions across the Microsoft security stack.

You’ll also build reusable IP and contribute to the Essential 8 uplift programmes within the Modern Work & Security practice. You will engage with executives and security leaders, translate risks into business terms, and

Qualifications

• Senior architecture and advisory capability with problem definition and decision support.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience; facilitation of workshops for executives and technical audiences.
• Deep experience across the Microsoft security stack (Entra ID, Defender, Purview, Intune, 365 security).
• Proven hands-on with Entra ID features: Conditional Access, identity governance, RBAC, privileged access, hybrid identity, cross-tenant access.
• Experience developing security strategies, maturity assessments, roadmaps aligned to risk, regulatory obligations, and customer priorities.
• Experience supporting Essential 8 uplift activities including gap analyses and stakeholder communication.
• Strong knowledge of Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention, including classification and endpoint DLP.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery engagements and advisory workshops with clients.
• Design target-state security architectures and maturity roadmaps for Microsoft security stack.
• Guide clients through critical decisions with clear, business-focused recommendations.
• Contribute to reusable IP, accelerators, and uplift programmes to strengthen the practice.
• Provide architecture governance and act as escalation point for delivery teams.
